SpaceWorks has crafted a truly unique 600 m² coworking space at Heden Coworking’s Trindade, where modern design meets historic preservation. Located on Rua Nova da Trindade, in the heart of Lisbon’s picturesque Chiado district, this project shows how a historic building can be reimagined to meet the demands of today’s cutting-edge companies. Specifically designed to house Daimler’s self-driving bus and truck division, tb.lx, since early 2024, the space beautifully combines the old and the new. The layout of Heden Trindade spans multiple floors, each designed with a specific function in mind, ensuring that the space promotes both creativity and collaboration.
Ground Floor - The ground floor sets the tone with a large, flexible Events and Social Hub complete with a fully equipped kitchen. This open-plan area serves as a social hub for networking, team gatherings, and corporate events.
First Floor - The first floor hosts a Communal Office space designed for flexibility and collaboration. With ample natural light and agile workspace layouts, this floor is the main workspace, fostering connectivity among the tb.lx team.
Second Floor - Upstairs, the second floor features the Kitchen, Terrace, and Collaboration Rooms. A generous open plan kitchen and adjacent patio terrace offering a perfect mix of relaxation and informal workspaces. Additionally, several collaboration rooms provide quiet, enclosed spaces for focused team projects.
Third Floor - The third floor is dedicated to Meeting and Project Rooms - formal meeting rooms and project spaces, fully equipped with modern conferencing technologies, perfect for strategic discussions and high-level planning.
Fourth Floor - At the top, the attic space has been transformed into a creative Workshop Space. With its skylights and a no-frills hands-on atmosphere, this space is ideal for brainstorming, prototyping, and other technical work central to tb.lx's innovative projects.
By designing Heden Trindade, SpaceWorks has demonstrated how adaptive reuse can breathe new life into historic structures. The space seamlessly integrates the charm and character of its Chiado surroundings with the needs of a forward-thinking company like tb.lx. It’s a perfect example of how the past and future can coexist, creating a coworking environment that’s not only functional but also inspiring.
